UAS Traffic Management is multifaceted and continuously evolving, so much so that it is tempting to include everything in its definition. This session will focus on a UTM solution for UAS operations in very low level airspace (below 150 meters/500 feet). We will discuss a flexible architecture that allows all kinds of operations including beyond line of sight, urban, and autonomous missions. We will however also delineate the scope of UTM, with explicit references to what should not be part of its first commercial implementation.
- Who are the UTM stakeholders?
- What are their responsibilities, concerns, and needs?
- What are the UTM building blocks?
- What should not be part of UTM and why?
This session will use the association’s Overall Architecture Working Group document (to be published in April 2017) as a basis for discussion.
