UTM provides the digital foundations for strategic coordination and efficient access to airspace. Key Site participants have been onboarded through individual and ecosystem automated testing against ASTM criteria, and manual coordination of individual flights was replaced by automatic checks of numerous flights.
As more entities look to operationalize strategic coordination in this way, the foundations built by the GUTMA Task Force on data exchange and the open resources provided by the Key Site make this work easily replicable for expansion and scale. The session digs in and sees what this means for complex BVLOS, one-to-many operations and the system versus pilot responsibilities through the support of UTM/U-space.
