Hitachi, Chief Architect
Presentation title: “Benefits for GUTMA to internationally standardize UTM and proposed action plans”
Dr. Masahide Okamoto belongs to Research and Development Group of Hitachi Ltd., he is Chief Architect of Technology Strategy Office.
Hitachi Ltd. is a Japanese major electric and electronic manufacturer, established in 1910. Hitachi has continued working on the systematization of UTM since 2015. Hitachi is also one of main members of JUTM (Japan Unmanned System Traffic & Radio Management Consortium). JUTM handles UTM on land, sea and air including radio management.
Dr. Okamoto has worked for Hitachi for 32 years and engaged in businesses on international standards development for the last 8 years. He is the Secretary of IEC/TC 91 (Electronics assembly technology). Now he is also working on international standardization of UTM in ISO/TC 20/SC 16 (Unmanned aircraft systems) as an expert.
Hitachi is member of the Global UTM Association.
