Matus is also leading an effort investigating UTM – Air Traffic Management (ATM) integration activities globally. Matus plays an important role in developing customer value propositions and integration of technology solutions from other Thales companies. Matus was an integral part of the DataComm tower automation platform (DTAP) concept development with the FAA. Matus is a member of the Transport Canada / NAV CANADA Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) Traffic Management (RTM) Working Group to define policy and performance requirements for UAS/RPAS integration in Canada. Matus is also responsible for strategy and business development efforts for air traffic flow management (ATFM) and for air traffic control automation in North America.
