GUTMA appreciates the efforts of the FAA for releasing its Final Rule for Remote Identification of Unmanned Aircraft. This is an important step for the UAS industry.

GUTMA supports the global harmonization of standardized Remote ID solutions and supports the use of industry consensus standards. Harmonization is key to fostering the safe, secure, fair and efficient integration of new aircraft operations into national airspace systems.

GUTMA encourages the FAA to continue their support of Network Remote ID as an enabler of an interoperable UTM ecosystem and for the FAA to accelerate UTM services linked to BVLOS drone flights. We look forward to the FAA releasing more information, in the coming months, on how they plan to enable future widespread BVLOS operations.
