The Committee for the application of common safety rules in the field of civil aviation (“EASA Committee”) of the European Commission, in which all EASA member states are assembled, has approved a U-Space regulatory package that will become law by 2023. The package, developed together with EASA and the European Commission, provides the legal grounding required for the implementation of U-Space across Europe.

GUTMA welcomes the package as an important step towards enabling the safe, secure and efficient management of unmanned air traffic across the region.
