EUROPEAN U-SPACE POLICY SUMMIT – 15 MARCH, BRUSSELS (ONLINE)

The European Policy Summit is the first event of the 2022 Harmonized Skies series, taking place online on 15 March 2022. The event will feature panel sessions, networking activities, and roundtables.

Centred on the topic “From standards to market: Can we get a competitive U-Space services market?“, the European Policy Summit focuses on the policy aspects of Uncrewed Traffic Management (UTM) at the European level.

The development of unmanned traffic management systems is growing. In Europe, the implementation date of the U-Space regulation (January 2023) creates a special momentum that will open further the European drone services market. It paves the way towards the widespread use of drones, which will be able to fly in an automated way over longer distances reducing costs and making drone services more attractive.

The Global UTM Association aims to contribute to this momentum and leverage the key takeaways that should become a great source of inspiration for other regions. GUTMA actively pursues a harmonized global UTM services market
